Former Vodafone Head of TV Product Experience, Michael Roedel, joins Simply.TV

We're thrilled to share some fantastic news with you! Michael, a seasoned professional with a proven track record in the telecommunication and tech industry, has joined the Simply.TV family. Coming from a successful stint at Vodafone, Michael is bringing his expertise to drive product management and support business development initiatives as Simply.TV continues its journey of rapid expansion.

With nearly two decades in TV and video services, Michael stands out as a visionary leader in product management and user experience. His commitment to transformative change is evident from his work on the Vodafone TV platform, which has successfully been launched across nine unique markets. His keen understanding of best-in-class metadata became evident when he seamlessly integrated personalized recommendations and voice assistance using platforms such as TiVo, Alexa, and Google, thereby revolutionizing content discovery for Vodafone’s consumers. In his role at Simply.TV, Michael will play an instrumental role in guiding business development and product management, showcasing his deep understanding of TV and driving the company's rapid growth.

Michael's agile mindset and design finesse have already led to great achievements, including leading the team for creating Vodafone TV UI design with premium metadata at its core, and winning six prestigious design awards during his tenure as the Head of TV Product Design. Michael's vast expertise has been honed by his experiences in three of the world's major media markets: the US, UK, and Germany. His past roles at Deutsche Telekom saw him spearheading business development for sports TV and enhancing TV user experience. At Yahoo Inc., he was pivotal in launching the first TV app OS in the US market.

Equipped with a unique skill set for managing significant TV projects and directing major investments towards innovation, Michael is set to elevate our offerings to unparalleled levels. We're thrilled to have him on board.
